Wikipedia

Well, let me clear up some of the cobwebs around here.

I just wanted people to know that I made this:

Please feel free to add to it.

So, this hasn't been used for a while, and I don't know who would be in charge of it this year, but I think that, as the name would suggest, this would be a wonderful tool to help build community in AACF.

So, I now declare this open again. (Could someone please tell the Freshmen and transfer students; maybe they would like this too.)

Also, I was wondering if anyone was doing anything about these:
- the AACF.berkeley.edu website : updating it (I mean, it's like 5 years old!!!)
- the AACF library : Where ppl can borrow and lend each other Christian books and cds

------------
So, since this is a community building xanga, I suppose I should share some of my thoughts.. or stuff... hmm...

well, as many of you know, I have once again been trying to organize ppl to go to CityMinistries. For those who don't know, CityMinistries is an organization that works to help the poor in San Francisco, and every other Friday (2nd and 4th Fridays of each month), they serve the poor by offering meals, prayer, and other things. I really encourage all of you to go sometime and to be a blessing to "the least of these." Contact me for more info. (I'm on the roster... If you don't have it, ask someone...)

Also, (and this is more for the guys), anyone interested in helping organize:
- Men's prayer
- Guy's Grub (mmmmmm... brocolli... :)

And, on a more personal note, please pray for me as I wrestle with various personal issues, including emotional and theological issues. If you want to know more, feel free to ask me about stuff. And, also, pray that I humble myself, because I am too arrogant, and "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6)

¡HOLA AMIGOS!

I have been so giddy with excitement that I haven't been able to sleep properly these past two nights!

A team of 15 Cal AACF-ers will be leaving for a weeklong missions trip to Enseñada, México TODAY!!!!!

We would really covet your prayers (sorry this is so late); we canNOT do this without relying on God!

**NOTE: Ohmygoodness, I was just about flipping out because the Internet stopped working for like ten minutes. And Connie was supposed to be picking me up like ten minutes ago! Aughhh, Satan does not want us depending on God, guys. I was like, “OH NO, how will I get these prayer requests out!!?” I prayed with expectation that God would bring back the Internet, and He did!!! =D FROG because GAP (Fully Rely on God because God Answers Prayers), friends!**

. basic info .

  • 15 Cal AACF students
  • 6/5-6/11
  • Enseñada, México
  • host org: Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach (YUGO) Ministries

. what we will be doing .

  • construction work to build a new worship center at outreach center
  • breakfast programs at 3 different villages, where healthy meals will be
    provided for Mexican children/mothers/elderly
  • after-school programs/daycares for children
  • **These ministries all incorporate Bible stories and prayer so that we may fulfill both the physical and spiritual needs of the Mexicans we serve.**

. prayer requests .

Please support us by praying for our team in the following ways:

  • PREPARATIONS: physically (planning details) and spiritually (that we may be ready to joyfully serve/trust God whole-heartedly)
  • SAFETY: we will be driving to/from Ensenada, for physical/emotional health, for protection from spiritual warfare
  • TEAM UNITY: we would be united in purpose, be able to serve together, show Christ's love through the way we love each other
  • THE MEXICAN PEOPLE: that we can humbly serve/support the people in Mexico, that we develop hearts for the lost there, that God soften the hearts of the people/children we serve, that amidst all the physical ministering we will be doing, we remain focused on our purpose to further God's glory/kingdom.

If you would like to commit to praying for our team during the week we will be in Mexico and receive a letter detailing our experiences afterwards, please e-mail Daniel Cheng back at dancheng@akamail.com with your name and e-mail address.

Please feel free to send this out to anybody you know!! =) Our team greatly appreciates your support!

Vaya con Dios,
Soli Deo gloria,

Hey all,

Well, this is my first time writing on here. Let's see how this turns out...

BANQUET WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Really, it was great! I mean, the food, the fellowship, the skits, the worship: it was all really great!

The freshmen skit was really good! great job all of you "young'ins", as Eddy says in his Senior thingie in the program.

Yeah, it was all good. Although, I must say, around the end I was kinda depressed and sad. I mean, its the end of such a great yr, and a bunch of ppl I have come to love will be leaving. Thus, sad.

But, it was also happy in many ways. I mean, worship was good. And I am looking forward to seeing how God will lead AACF next yr.

I dunno. I don't really know how to feel...

I guess many of you noticed that I wasn't being very social afterwards. I dunno why, but I just wasn;t feeling very social. I just felt... depressed and stuff. (For some reason, same thing happened last year after banquet... maybe its some sort of trend) Anyway, thanks to all of you who came up to me afterwards, even tho I don't like pics of myself. (I wrote about that on my own blog...ask me about it)

Anyway, after saying all this, lemme just say...
Thank you all for the great times we have had this year. I pray that God will make next year as much of a blessing as this one has been.

To the seniors: I realize I don't know many of you very well. Regardless, I pray that God would bless you for the rest of your lives.

To my male friends: Thanks for always being good brothers and gentlemen. I'll try to be a better brother next year, helping you guys grow, and I hope that God would use all of you to help me grow and mature in my faith. Press on in this race of life, and always try to be WIMPS!(Oh, and about the knitting: I know it's not very "manly," but you should try it sometime!)

To my female friends: Thank you for living as Holy ladies in pursuit of God. I pray that God would use me to help and serve you all in whatever way I can be used, and that you all would continue to help me grow. Continue to be beautiful, not only in physical appearance, but also in spiritual ways, as you live your lives in the love of our God.

To All: Sorry for my failures as a brother in Christ, and thank you for your amazing patience.

I don't know why I am writing all of this, or even why I am up this late (I'm not sure, but I think I just felt an earthquake too, or maybe something just shook Royston really hard...) Anyway, God bless you all, and Lordwilling I'll see you all later.
